Performing on stage is more than just fun — it’s a lifeline for pre-teens and teens facing emotional, social, and spiritual challenges. As a fundraiser for Rachel’s Place — the trusted community charity that provides housing and support for at-risk teen girls — our youth production gives girls a safe and uplifting space to grow through singing, dancing, acting, and creative expression. Many girls today struggle to feel like they belong. Being part of a show helps them find hidden talents, build real confidence, and make lasting friendships. It’s a place where every kind of girl can shine — especially those who may not thrive socially or academically in the classroom — and where teamwork and discipline lead to real growth. As a long-time educator, mother, and theater producer, I’ve spent over 20 years working with children and teens. I’ve directed choirs, led school plays, and most recently produced three major musical productions — including 2023’s sold-out hit, Unlimited. I’ve seen firsthand how performing arts help girls feel proud, capable, and connected. With your help, we can keep giving girls this powerful opportunity.
